I'm running as a "Write-in" Candidate for Wyoming's Seat in
the United States House of Representatives in the 2014 Election! I know it's a long way off, but nothing like being prepared, the old Boy Scout in me. The
corrupting influences that special interests, corporations and
lobbyists have over our Congress have never been so great. I am
willing to take on this broken and corrupt system of Campaign Financing
and it's destruction from within, of our country.
I
came up the hard way, out of a hard-working middle class family from
Long Island and in an America that has created opportunities for
folks like me. I've made it my life’s work during my periods of
sobriety over the last 35+ years, and since July 25, 2003 when I had
my last drink, fighting for middle class families.
I am committed to improving the lives of every citizen in Wyoming. Through education on all our current issues and advocacy for those issues, including America's Veterans, elderly, disabled and the environment, we can make a difference! I regularly communicate with our legislators, both in Washington and Cheyenne, communicating my concern for how their votes are against the best interest of average American, and supporting those candidates that support my vision of hope. I've been successfully advocating for improvements in our community on all levels, from a New U.S. Postal Mailbox located at the Sheridan Square Apartments, after the Post Office removed the big blue mailbox that had been in of the apartment building for over 35 years, to working to save firefighter and EMT jobs in Sheridan as the mayor and city council out-sourced the jobs to a former city-councilman, and many other campaigns to improve our country on all levels so we can build a better world for our children.
I believe the right to vote
should have been addressed in the 1st Amendment as it is the key to a functioning republic, yet today there are many
working to take that right away from Americans they believe will not vote for
them. This includes the many disenfranchised, like minorities,
the young, the poor, the elderly, ex-offenders and disabled throughout the United
States, including here in Wyoming. "Separate But Equal" has
never worked in the area of civil rights and voting rights, and it
doesn't with voter disenfranchisement either.
Thank you for your time, and no matter what, get out there and vote, and know why you actually voted that way based on facts, and not on what some partisan pundit told you---always do your research, Always!
Any volunteer help is appreciated, as this veteran who is disabled needs my fellow citizens help, as citizens have a bigger voice when they act together and we can then have a renewed sense of hope that we are making a difference. You too can make a difference.
